The recent addition to the Stronach Aurora Recreation Complex ( SARC) in Aurora, Ontario seamlessly connects a new double gymnasium and multi-purpose room to the existing facility, which includes an aquatic centre, twin-pad arena, change rooms, administrative areas, entry lobby and related support spaces. The project scope also included significant renovations and reconfiguration of the customer service area, administrative spaces, and the existing preschool/multi-purpose room. Extensive community consultation with local user groups and sports organizations informed the  design of a flexible gymnasium and change room program that responds to a wide range of community needs.
