The project involves the expansion and full renovation of the existing Police Headquarters facility to accommodate growth in staff size and new operational requirements. The site is located in the central downtown area and the design includes a new public entrance giving the building an enhanced street presence, access to public services and a new Community Room. All areas will be new or renovated, including an enclosed 66 space parking structure for fleet vehicles, new secure sally port and holding cell area, forensic labs and communication centre. A fourth floor 16,000 sf shell space is being built to accommodate future expansion on the site.
